We have an immediate need for highly motivated, safety conscious Underground Mine Operators / Equipment Operators for a Potash project with our client at Vanscoy, SK (near Saskatoon, SK) for a 4+ months duration with an opportunity for extension to different projects. Expected start date mid/end August.
 
You will need to be available to work 12 hour shifts with the ability to work all nights on a 1/1 rotation.

Responsibilities:

Installation of belt lines;
Rehab work as required;

Qualifications:

A minimum of one year in an underground Potash setting in an equipment role, or three years in a heavy industrial equipment operation or labour role;
Training and experience running continuous miners, alpine miners, scoops, bolters, scalers, and other underground mining equipment is preferred;

We have an immediate need a highly motivated, safety-conscious Journeyperson Welder/Millwright/Iron Worker at Vanscoy, SK potash mine site. These positions are for a Mine Shutdown at a Mine site specifically in the Mine Shaft.   
1 month duration- nights, with the possibility of extension. 
If you are a Journeyperson Welder, Millwright or Iron Worker that has experience in Loading Pockets, Shaft maintenance or UG Hoists with a commitment to safety, quality, diversity and inclusion, and teamwork, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:

Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, designs, and welding process specifications
Examine welds to ensure they meet industry standards
Working knowledge of welding processes including GMAW, SMAW, MCAW, FCAW
Proactively seeks and accomplishes tasks that lead to a safe, efficient, and productive work environment
Follow instructions precisely with the ability to carry out daily work instructions in a timely and efficient manner with limited supervision
Perform individual tasks and work effectively as part of the team to ensure productivity and efficiency
Finding creative solutions and effective problem solving of issues that arise
Communication and cohesive alignment with other departments in the mine
Work safely and collaboratively as part of a crew
Good verbal and written communication

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the continuous planning, maintenance, and operations of the site to ensure resource allocation and effective work management.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for employee tradespersons
Responsible for Belt line Drives, Rebuild shop, Fire Suppression systems and any welding and Fabrication requirements.
Supervise and oversee maintenance planning and scheduling through effective communication and cohesive alignment with other departments in the mine, including supervisors, tradespersons, operators, vendors, and contractors.
Ensure all employees adhere to site policies and procedures set forth by the client.
Prepare, facilitate, and track specific work packages to execute schedule-driven projects.
Facilitate ongoing communication to ensure proper and efficient contract operation, allocation of resources, safety, and environmental standards.
Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and general maintenance inspections.
Plan and coordinate jobs, manage inventory levels, communicate with suppliers, and source parts as necessary.
Work with operations to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, and participate effectively in preventive maintenance planning and execution, striving for continuous improvement and cost control.
Oversee asset management programs and contractor management.
Qualifications:

Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship & Trade Certification Commission as a Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic, Journeyperson Welder/CWB certified or Mechanical Engineering Degree with specific site experience on a mine site surface or underground is preferred.
Mechanical Technologist Diploma will also be considered.
CWB certification an asset
5+ years of experience in maintenance and production in the industrial/mining industry.
Experience in Mills with Pumps / Belt Systems / Crushing and Milling Circuits and Infrastructure.
Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of Borers / Drum cutters / Rehab Equipment / Conveyor Systems and Auxiliary Equipment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written);
Knowledge of commonly used software packages including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, time and attendance systems, and maintenance monitoring and management systems (SAP).
Proactive and able to manage tight deadlines.
